Swing for Poe is a mechanical string quartet driven by an elementary magnetic pendulum mechanism that keeps the work in motion as a kind of automata composition.
This kinetic material is translated into sound and gestures that can perhaps best be observed in their entirety as stage language.
The music shown here is always fatefully tied to the materiality of the mechanism and can, after all, only exist in this connection.
